Launch of the OnBoardEU project

Damage to the track network often leads to squeaking and shaking streetcars as well as costly damage to the vehicles. In the future, condition-based and cost-efficient maintenance of the track infrastructure should be made possible by suitable AI methods for automatic data analysis. We are working on this topic together with our project partners German Aerospace Center and AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH.

Our task here is the realization of a self-sufficient measurement system with high performance and the implementation of the developed, complex AI algorithms at the edge (in the vehicle).

In January, the public kick-off event took place. We were very pleased about the great interest in this project and the lively exchange.

The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport through the mFUND funding program.
