Fortunately, this is very easy with nemione sensor nodes:
π Stick the nemi G+ acceleration sensor onto your ski,
π Connect nemi G+ wirelessly to the nemi Log data logger,
π Put nemi Log in your backpack,
π and there you go…
nemi G+ measures triaxial accelerations and rotation rates. nemi Log receives the data wirelessly and stores it on SD card. In the video, the 4 kHz data from the nemi G+ sensor node is passed through different filters to achieve a better visualization.
New: nemi G+ is now also available as a waterproof version (IP 67).
Conclusion of this fun measurement:
Despite sub-zero temperatures (challenging for the battery), a wet environment, harsh vibrations and lots of dynamics, the nemione measuring system delivers impressive results with reliable data transmission and meaningful data.
Thank you Paul Ebeling for the great video. The data overlay of the video was the last project of his internship at i4M technologies GmbH.
